Information Governance provides a comprehensive framework for Trowbridge Town Council to handle information in a way that protects the privacy and confidentiality of individuals while enabling efficient and effective service delivery.
Trowbridge Town Council maintains CCTV to collect visual images for:
- Enhancing the health and safety of residents and visitors.
- Decreasing crime and anti-social behaviour, including theft and vandalism.
- Aiding in the prevention and detection crime.
- Facilitating the identification, apprehension, and prosecution of offenders.
- Locating missing and vulnerable persons.

Requests for disclosure of images from enforcement agencies, and purposes related to the Prosecution of Enforcement Act 1985, must be directed to the Governance, Risk, and Compliance Officer. Please complete the Disclosure Application Form and send to: informationgovernance@trowbridge.gov.uk.
CCTV images are only stored for one calendar month; therefore, please submit your request within 21 days of the incident to allow for your request to be processed in time.
