Lantern Parade

Festival and Christmas lights switch-on

The spectacular annual event in Trowbridge gets bigger and brighter each year!

Taking place on the 17th of November from 6:30pm.

We see hundreds of beautiful, handcrafted willow lanterns paraded through the town centre, led by the fantastic Jamma da Samba, who brings a real carnival feel to the evening. The Lantern Parade brings together the community of Trowbridge to share in the magic of Christmas and spread light throughout the town! The town’s Christmas lights will be switched on in Fore Street, and there will be spectacular fireworks in the town park. Musical entertainment, funfair rides, and fantastic food and drink will help add to the festivities!

If you wish to join one of our free lantern workshops taking place in October, email info@trowbridge.gov.uk to book your space.

If you are a food and drink vendor and would be interested in trading at the event, please contact events@trowbridge.gov.uk
