Warm & Safe Wiltshire – Help for Residents

A message from Wiltshire Council’s Warm & Safe Wiltshire initiative:

Funding for replacement of broken heating systems

Help is available for people struggling to afford their energy bills or with a broken heating system.

The Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE) – a commissioned partner of Wiltshire Council, offer Warm & Safe Wiltshire, a free local energy advice service that offers practical, bespoke advice to make sure people are not living in a cold home.

Friendly advisors can also check if people are eligible for financial assistance, such as the Household Support Fund. Customers could receive up to £3,000 towards the cost of replacing a broken heating system.

To be eligible they must:

  • have a broken or intermittently working heating system (this includes any type of system),
  • be on a low income or receive means tested benefits, for example – universal credit, income support or housing benefit,
  • live in Wiltshire.

If you think your customers may benefit from this, please ask them to self-refer by calling 0800 038 5722. Or you can refer them by completing this short form – Refer a patient or client – Centre for Sustainable Energy (cse.org.uk)

We really appreciate your support in helping us to end the suffering caused by cold homes. To understand fuel poverty and help professionals identify who needs help please watch these four short films – Coping with cold video series – Centre for Sustainable Energy (cse.org.uk)
