Wiltshire Towns Programme: A Grant Initiative to Enhance Vibrancy in Town Centres and High Streets

To revitalize the town centres and high streets of Wiltshire, Wiltshire Council has introduced the Wiltshire Towns Programme. This grant programme has been designed specifically to bring back into use previously abandoned town ground floor commercial spaces. Starting early 2024, it will be available for businesses interested in opening premises in targeted town centre areas.

Businesses eligible for the programme can include those providing services, as well as creative, cultural and community uses. The grant programme supports small or micro-businesses, including new start-ups, who wish to lease or rent a vacant commercial property located within eligible areas of the town centres.

The towns included in the Wiltshire Towns Programme are Amesbury, Bradford on Avon, Calne, Chippenham, Corsham, Cricklade, Devizes, Downton, Ludgershall, Malmesbury, Marlborough, Melksham, Mere, Pewsey, Royal Wootton Bassett, Salisbury, Tidworth, Tisbury, Trowbridge, Warminster, Westbury and Wilton.

The grant amount ranges from £1,000 to a maximum of £10,000. For further information regarding the guidance notes and application form, please visit the following website: Here.
