Trowbridge Town Mayor Visits Twinning Town Leer for Bicentennial Celebration

Last week the Mayor made a visit to Leer in Ostfriesland at the invitation of Burgermeister Claus-Perter Horst. This was on the occasion of Leer’s bicentennial celebration of the granting of City Rights by King George IV of England and Hanover in 1823. The welcome that was extended to both Mayor and his wife was amazing and the Mayor would like his sincere thanks to the City of Leer and its Burgermeister formally recorded by this Council.
