Trowbridge Sea Cadets Sponsored Row

The Cadets of Trowbridge Sea Cadet unit will be undertaking the challenge of rowing 65 Miles to raise money to celebrate the 65th Birthday of the organisation’s formation.

For the last 65 years, the Volunteer staff have been promoting the development of young people from in and around Trowbridge in achieving their physical, intellectual, and social potential as individuals and as responsible citizens by the provision of education and leisure time activities using a nautical theme. None of the staff take payment and the cadets donate a small amount every month to help with running costs

They are a busy unit and currently have a waiting list with a complement of 35 young people, which is a testament to the quality of the volunteers who run the activities and how much the young people (aged 10-18) get out of it.

They hope to complete the challenge in 9 hours on the River Avon, using  Trinity Rowing boats.

100% of the money raised will be used to provide activities and experiences for the Trowbridge Cadets.
