Trowbridge Mayoral Christmas Card Competition is Open

The Mayor of Trowbridge has launched a Christmas Card competition to help raise funds for his chosen charities. The competition is open to all ages and entries should be submitted by 30th October 2023. The selected winner will have their design featured on the Mayor’s official Christmas card, which will be sent to various community leaders and organisations in Trowbridge.

All proceeds from the sale of the Christmas cards will go towards the Mayor’s chosen charities, Stepping Stones and Trowbridge Future.

Stepping Stones

Stepping Stones is an independent charity that supports children from birth to four who have special needs. They recognise and support each child’s potential. Their primary goal is to provide timely therapy and assistance to children who have delayed development. Their dedicated, qualified, and experienced team encourages children to learn and develop through play. Some of the children who attend Stepping Stones may already have a diagnosed condition, but all of the children supported by Stepping Stones have developmental delays and have challenges gaining abilities that other children take for granted.

Trowbridge Future

Trowbridge Future is in the centre of the community, supporting not only Trowbridge’s youth but also its residents. Their youth programmes in Trowbridge provide sustainable, frequent, and holistic activities that encourage the town’s young people to reach their maximum potential both personally and socially. This is promoted through informal learning and participation in empowering and constructive activities in a safe and non-judgmental setting.

They also assist Trowbridge’s vulnerable population by providing safe spaces such as the establishment of Kindness Cafés, three community fridges, and drop-in sessions where they encourage connection building and peer support to facilitate ongoing positive journeys of growth.

How to Enter

To enter the competition, simply create a festive design that captures the spirit of the season. Your card design must be 2D but can be created by hand or with the help of software, images, or anything else.

All designs can be emailed to info@trowbridge.gov.uk or delivered to us at the Information Centre, The Civic Centre, Trowbridge.

Remember to include your full name and the best phone number to reach you (typically, this is the number of a trusted adult if you are under the age of 16)!

This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together during the holiday season while supporting important causes. The Mayor and his team look forward to seeing the creative talents of Trowbridge residents and are thrilled to support such an important cause.
