Trowbridge Carnival Update – Road Closure

See below the information taken from the road closure for the 21st of October 2023:

 

Temporary Road Closure Order
Town Police Clauses Act 1847
IN ACCORDANCE with Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847, which section gives Wiltshire Council (“the Council”) the power to make an Order for roads within its administrative area to be closed temporarily to all vehicular traffic (and for alternative routes to be observed) for the purposes of preventing obstruction.
The Council HEREBY ORDERS
On: Saturday 21st October 2023 between the hours of 16.00 and 23.00
Purpose: Trowbridge Carnival Procession
That the following roads and streets in the town of Trowbridge are to be closed (save in any case of emergency) to all vehicular traffic at the approximate times set out below:
Between the hours of 16.00 and 22.30:
a) B3106 Canal Road (Part); from its roundabout junction with B3105 to its roundabout junction with C373.
And between the hours of 18.00 and 22.30:
b) B3106 Canal Road (Part); from its roundabout junction with C373 to its roundabout junction with The Down.
c) B3106 The Down (Part); from its roundabout junction with Canal Road to its junction with B3016 Islington
d) B3016 Islington (Part); from its junction with B3106 The Down to its junction with Timbrell Street.
e) Timbrell Street; from its junction with Islington to its junction with Union Street.
f) Union Street (Part); from its junction with Timbrell Street to its junction with Church Street.
g) Church Street (Part); from its junction with Union Street to its junction with Silver Street.
h) Silver Street; from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Market Street.
i) Market Street; from its junction with Silver Street to its junction with Castle Street.
j) Castle Street (Part); from its junction with Market Street to its junction with Mortimer Street
And between the hours of 19.40 and 23.00:
k) Mortimer Street (Part); from its junction with Castle Street to its junction with Longfield Road.
l) A361 Longfield Road (Part); from its junction with Mortimer Street to its junction with Bythesea Road.
And between the hours of 19.40 and 23.00:
m) Bythesea Road (Part); from its junction with Longfield Road to a point outside the Job Centre.
Nothing in this Order shall prevent vehicles from proceeding on the said lengths of road when being used in connection with the event stated above.
