Trowbridge was bursting with festive cheer over the weekend with the annual Christmas light switch-on and lantern parade. The town was bustling with Christmas cheer and entertainment in Fore Street, leading up to the main event. Around 250 handmade willow lanterns were paraded to the stage, where our shining star, Amy Cottle, had the honour of switching on the Christmas lights in front of a large crowd that filled Fore Street and Market Street. The night was rounded off with a stunning fireworks display in the park.
The Civic’s annual Christmas market was also in full swing on Friday and Saturday, with nearly 50 stalls brimming with a range of wonderful Christmas gift ideas. They welcomed just under 5,000 shoppers!
Trowbridge Museum also hosted a creative market throughout the day on Saturday.
Over 200 runners participated in the Santa Dash on Saturday where our park was filled with families and runners, some even sporting festive attire!
Trowbridge, thank you for an unforgettable weekend! We hope your Christmas spirit is overflowing!
