Professional sax player for over 45 years, and now manager of the Civic, Paul Weimar has toured and recorded with pop and jazz royalty since his late teens. Artists such as David Bowie, Queen, Jimmy Paige, the brand new heavies, Jamiroquai & Leo Sayer as well as Larry Carlton, Jeff Lorber, Down To The Bone, and Rick Braun from the jazz world, Paul has had a varied and colorful career.
From being a steady name on the London session scene to moving to Los Angeles and becoming one of the top touring artists on the jazz circuit, Paul is back to play another set at the Civic’s Jazz, Funk, and Soul sessions. With a selection of tunes from his own solo albums and a mix of crowd favorites thrown in, the night promises to be grooving and toe-tapping.
