Town mascot Trowbridge Ted has two free trail maps for children (and adults!). Both trails are available from the Information Centre, or you can download a copy online by following the link here.
Trowbridge Ted’s Terrible Tales Town Trail has you exploring the town centre and learning all about Trowbridge’s horrible past. From riots over potato prices, huge tubs of wee (!) and tummy bugs being displayed . . . this map keeps children laughing (and adults feeling slightly queasy). Children learn the history of the town in a way that they enjoy the most – by hearing about the disgusting parts!
Trowbridge Ted’s Off The Beaten Track Nature Trail takes you around Trowbridge Park and Biss Meadows. Explore the Bug Hotel, learn the reason why some trees were planted in the park, and meet the ducks on the pond (don’t forget to buy a bag of duck food for just 50p from the Information Centre – the ducks will appreciate it!). The trail encourages answering questions together and using letters to form a missing word. Once you have found the missing word, return to the Information Centre for your free sticker!
