Grade II* listed. The Trowbridge Street known as The Halve contains no fewer than 14 listed buildings, nearly all built in the late 18th century. The most important is no. 14, the only one of the sets to be II* listed. The unusual street name recalls the common fields that existed until enclosure in the late 17th century, when the fields were divided into strips, each of which was conventionally a half (or halve) acre.
