For nine years, Helping Victims of Domestic Violence (HVDV) has been working to support survivors in our community. Last year, they received over 846 shoeboxes and gift bags, which were given to shelters, families, and individuals who had fled domestic abuse within the past year and need support.
We are humbled to assist in any way possible, even just being a collection point for HVDV.
Please consider picking up a donation or filling a box as an individual, school, workplace, or family to donate and bring to the information centre. The deadline for boxes or gift bags is the 1st of December at 4 pm.
Please refer to the age and gender list below when selecting the age range and gender for the shoe boxes and gift bags:
- Baby/Toddlers 0-1 years Boy/Girl
- Pre-School 2-4 years Boy/Girl
- Primary Ks1 5-7 years Boys/Girls

When preparing shoe boxes and gift bags, please ensure the items are age and stage-appropriate for the recipient. Kindly label your donation with the age and gender you’d like it to be received from the list above.
Thank you for your donations and for assisting HVDV in putting smiles on faces and giving survivors and their children hope that there are people out there who care.
