Bag Pack Aids Local Charities

Employees from Trowbridge Town Council held a bag pack at the town’s Tesco Extra store recently to raise money for the Mayor’s two chosen charities. Six members of council staff and a manager from Tesco will take on the Three Peaks Challenge on April 27th which will see them trek to the summits of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon over a period of three days. By helping shoppers with their packing, more than £800 was raised towards the overall target, which currently stands at £1,300.
The money raised by completing the challenge will be handed to local charities Alzheimer’s Support and Breakthrough Trowbridge, as chosen by Trowbridge Mayor Linda Self.
Mrs Self proffered her thanks to Tesco who also held a tombola, and to Holbrook Primary School, who helped with the packing.
